Safeguarding Children Training L1

Friday 29 May 2015
09:30 to 14:30

Level 1:  Safeguarding children is everybody’s business and it is essential that professionals who have contact with children are clear about their duties, roles and responsibilities. This course includes how to ensure that the safeguards that you have in place are sufficiently comprehensive and staff are clear about what safeguarding means for them in practice. The Level 1 programme aims to promote professional resilience, confidence and competence when working with vulnerable children and their families and assist in the delivery of early intervention support services, including references to key local and national guidance and data. Participants are given tools to be able to recognise some of the key signs and risk indicators of child abuse and opportunities to explore what to do if you have child protection concerns about children, including who to refer to and how.
