This new half day safeugarding course is designed to help achieve better outcomes for children and families and is open to those working with children and families in Croydon.  It will equip you with communication and inter-personal skills to engage young people.

Objectives:

• Learn about communicating with missing and runaway young people (with a focus on return home interviews and prevention interviews)
• Demonstrate active listening skills during conversations with missing young people
• Understand how challenging it is for a child who has been missing to disclose and how to minimise the challenge in a supportive manner
