Holocaust Memorial Day

Saturday 27 January 2018

Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) takes place on 27 January each year, and is the day for everyone to remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution, and in the subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.

The annual theme for HMD 2018 is The Power of Words and it invites audiences to think about how language, used by individuals, corporations, community organisations or the state, has been used in the past, and in the present day, and what impact this has for both good and bad.
