Croydon's Cultural Vision Unwrapped

A cornerstone of Croydon’s cultural renaissance will be the newly refurbished and much-loved Fairfield Halls which is being given a £30 million facelift complete with 1,800 seater concert hall, 2,000 square metre art gallery, new shops and offices.

An event exploring Croydon’s cultural vision and how it will help to change perceptions of our town and to gain an exclusive insight into the progress of work to date. Guest speakers include:

Neil Chandler, Venue Director at the Fairfield Halls on the future vision, what you should come to expect from the newly redeveloped cultural hub, designs and above all, timescales for completion
Paula Murray, Cultural Director at Croydon Council on its approach to culture for the borough and what winning London Borough of Culture 2019 would mean for Croydon
Joseph Watson, London Creative Director for the National Trust on why they chose our borough for the launch of Edge City, a project designed to change perceptions of heritage, celebrating the real places in which people live, work and play
Kevin Zuchowski-Morrison, RISEgallery founder for a candid insight into why he chose Croydon, his future plans for the gallery and how everyone, from all parts of the community, can become involved in culture
