Grants of up to £2,000 for projects or equipment for people in need at the heart of local communities.
Gregg's Foundation Environmental
Grants of up to £2,000 improve people's lives by improving the environment
Dunhill Medical Trust 
Grants for organisations working directly with older people who need some form of extra support to make everyday living easier.
LCF: Reducing Isolation Fund
Grants of between £5,000-£20,000 are available for projects that either reduce isolation amongst older people or increase their involvement people in their local community.
Kusuma Trust 
Offering grants of up to £10,000 to registered charities that enable disadvantaged young people to have more opportunities in education or employment.
New! Mayor of London Greener City Fund
This fund has three specific elements: Strategic Green Infrastructure Projects; London's Urban Forest Community Tree Planting; Green Space Grants. Round 1 is now open to community tree planting.  See below for deadline for green space grants.

W H Smith Community Grant
Using the proceeds of the compulsory carrier bag charges to offer grants of up to £500 to support good causes in the local communities where WH Smith operates and also to promote literacy and a love of reading.

Comic Relief Try for Change
Grants of up to £100,000  to continue supporting projects which use rugby union and the rugby union community to tackle a number of social 
Does your organisation provide living accommodation for young people who are at risk of being homeless? Do you need funding to renovate existing bed spaces or create new ones?  There are 2 funding streams: Renovation, New Buildings. (Deadline is at 5pm)

Children's Health Fund Holiday Food Fund
Organisations that want to provide good food as part of holiday learning, play and activity programmes are invited to apply for grants of between £1,000 and £5,000. It is expected that applications at the higher end of this scale (£5,000) will be for projects looking to expand their existing work. (Deadline is at 5pm)

Community Action Grants
Grants between £5,000 and £10,000 from the Gannett Foundation are offered to registered charities within the circulation area of a Newsquest publication.

Comic Relief: Thriving not just Surviving
A new fund has been launched to support vulnerable and disadvantaged young men with mental health problems. (Deadline is at noon)

Comic Relief Core Strength
Funding your day to day costs.  Priorities are: Connected communities; Productive communities; Empowered communities

Deadline: 20 October 2017
Mayor of London: Community Green Spaces
Round 1 open to projects such as: creating a community garden; greening playgrounds or routes to school; natural play space for children; and much more.
Football Foundation: Premier League and The FA Facilities Fund 
Providing grants, of between, £10,000 and £500,000, for building or refurbishing grassroots facilities, such as changing pavilions and playing surfaces for community benefit.

Sport England Tackling Inactivity
Three levels of funding available aiming at getting more people engaged with physical activity. The Fund will provide grants to support projects that use sport and physical activity to support positive social change for communities and individuals in lower socio-economic groups. (Deadline is for expressions of interest)
National Churches Trust
Open for applications to their:
Community Grants apply for a grant of between £5,000 - £20,000 and
Repair Grants apply for a grant of between £5,000-£40,000

Theatres Trust
Offering capital grants of up to £5,000 to theatres that are run by charities and not-for-profit groups as long as the capital improvements will add value to their work in their local communities.

Deadline: 16 January 2018
Children in Need Main Grants
Large grant (over £10,000) programme supporting children and young people of 18 years and under who are experiencing disadvantage through:  illness, distress, abuse, or neglect; disability; behavioural or psychological difficulties; living in poverty or situations of deprivation.

My Locality Grants
Neighbourhood forums are amongst those groups eligible to apply and they are particularly keen to help ambitious groups from all types of neighbourhoods who want to really influence how their place grows and changes going into the future.
