Title Trustee Workshop
Description

Trustees are crucial to the voluntary sector, offering their skills and time to ensure charitable groups serve their beneficiaries well. Although a hugely rewarding role, it can also be daunting if you are not sure you have all the information to hand to make wise decisions about your group's staff, volunteers, future and finances.

This workshop will give you all the information you need to make sure you are carrying out your role as effectively as possible (including Real-life case studies) it will

  • provide an overview of what is expected
  • help you work out your responsibilities as a trustee
  • provide networking opportunities with other local trustees

This workshop is suitable for new or existing trustees, you will learn about legal duties, good practice, financial reporting, and will be signposted to lots of useful resources.

This three-hour workshop (with a 15 minute break in the middle) provides plenty of time for chat questions.

If you would like particular topics to be covered in more depth( e.g. crowdfunding, loans, HMRC issues, safeguarding, widening legal objects, or other) please let us know when you book the event.
