Gender Identity Conference

Saturday 23 June 2018
09:30 to 16:30

A groundbreaking Gender Identity Conference called 'Who do we think we are? Understanding new gender identities amongst children and young people'.
Currently there are high numbers of children and young people identifying as outside the conventional mainstream gender binaries of 'male' and 'female', and who are experiencing high levels of transphobic prejudice.  This timely not-for-profit conference sets out to support parents/carers and a range of professionals from nurses, teachers, social and youth workers to police, charities, faith and community groups and counsellors/therapists to consider and explore issues of gender identity, the support available and tips for good practice responses.  Find out more
