ARCC International Womens' Day

The campaign theme for this year's International Women's Day is 'Choose To Challenge'. A challenged world is an alert world. And from challenge comes change. So let's all #ChooseToChallenge.

Our inspirational speakers for the event will be: -

  • Pinky Lilani CBE, DL an author, motivational speaker, food expert and women's advocate. She is the founder and chair of several awards recognising influential women and leaders, including the annual Women of the Future Awards and the Asian Women of Achievement Awards.
  • Dinaz Stafford an Indian film Producer, who has worked predominantly in Bollywood. She grew up in India and worked in the film industry and community development around the world. She is now focused on AV shows, film and art projects within the UK
  • Aminah Rahman an award published poet and spoken word artist born and raised in Cambridge, UK. She is a third- generation British-Bangladeshi with over 60 years of family history in Cambridge. She has been writing poetry since she was eight years old. Most of her poetry focuses on fighting racism and celebrating the diversity of individuals. Poetry has enabled her to learn about the world around her and understand herself as an individual.
  • Mamta Kaash an award winning actress and producer who has worked in television, radio and theatre in the UK. Born in India, she is the daughter of a journalist for the BBC World Service. As an actress, she is perhaps best known for her roles in the BBC1 medical dramas Casualty, in which she played Dr Beth Ramanee, and Angels, as Nargis Khan. In 1985, she appeared in the long-running Yorkshire Television soap opera Emmerdale Farm. She also appeared in the Scottish soap opera River City, playing the role of Hana Malik.
