Salary:  £26,500 - £27,500 depending on experience
Hours:   Full and part time/job share considered, permanent

Role:
Seeking to recruit a Refuge Support Officer to provide support services to women and children within our domestic abuse refuges.  BCWA is a well-established, innovative and forward-thinking local domestic abuse service, and are seeking a self-motivated, flexible and experienced individual to join a dynamic team to help deliver excellent services to vulnerable women who have experienced domestic abuse and be committed to working in a non-discriminatory manner.

You will be required to demonstrate a good awareness of the needs and issues specific to survivors of domestic abuse and have experience of refuge/supported housing provision.

You will be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. The person they are looking for will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, providing high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment. Owning a driving licence/own vehicle is preferable.

The post will require a mix of home and onsite working initially, this will be reviewed subject to pandemic restrictions.
