Crystal Palace Community Trust: Assistant Youth Worker (Internship)
Hours: 35 hours per week for 12months
Closing Date 13 December 2021, @9am
This is a 12-month role beginning in January 2022. As part of this role, you will be part of the Jack Petchey Internship Programme with 25 other interns from different youth organisations in London and Essex. This development programme will involve attending a launch conference, a 6-month update workshop, six professional development workshops throughout the year and a celebration event at the end of the programme. You will receive an extra training bursary of £1,000 for approved training. You will also be matched with a mentor from another organisation to support you in your professional development. The Jack Petchey Internship programme training, and events will take place in person (subject to any Covid restrictions) in London, and you will be expected to take full part in this programme alongside your role at Crystal Palace Community Trust.
This role will involve working in a variety of settings, including building-based youth work sessions, detached and outreach work and is an exciting opportunity to develop your youth work skills, and provide activities for children and young people, many of whom might not otherwise have access to youth services.
You will be working with a full time youth practitioner/manager and a team of part time youth work staff.
