Victim Support helps people by providing emotional support, practical help, information and advocating on behalf of victims with the police, social services, housing and other relevant agencies. Support provided is confidential regardless of if the victim has reported the crime to the police.

They currently use 3 outreach sites to see clients in Croydon on an appointment basis:

  1. Family Justice Centre
  2. Croydon BME Forum
  3. Croydon Magistrates Court

High risk cases of domestic violence and abuse are referred to the Family Justice Centre who are commissioned to deal with such risk levels, whilst clients presenting medium and lower risk are supported by the Victim Support in conjunction with other agencies.

If there are needs for support outside of the Victim Support remit, with the consent of the clients, they are referred to other, relevant agencies.
