Nightwatch are keen to make sure that all Nightwatch volunteers and supporters are aware of their 40th anniversary this year. They will commemorate four decades of volunteering in a number of ways.
Could you sponsor a conference?
One major event is a conference to be held on 21 September 2016 at the Croydon Conference Centre. They are currently seeking sponsorship from local businesses for support in funding the conference which is being run by Croydon PR company White Label Creative.
They will be showcasing the work they and other organisations have done in Croydon in the last 40 years to help homeless and other vulnerable people in the borough. They will also be looking to what they hope to achieve in the future, and how their model can be duplicated in other places.
Minister for Local Government Marcus Jones MP has accepted an invitation to address the conference about government policy on homelessness. The first chair of Nightwatch, the Rt Rev Bishop Martin Wharton will be attending. Further details of the conference, including other speakers, will be announced as the line-up is formalised.
