Channel 4 Education is looking for remarkable young people who are doing something, or living in a way that other teens simply don’t, for a season of films provisionally entitled EXCEPTIONAL 16, to be made by Brighton-based Factory Films.

They need to be doing something NOW that the film-makers can follow in the present tense, and the films would centre on them – so they need to be articulate and watchable. Other than that – the brief is wide. They're not looking for young carers, as that has been tackled a fair bit already – nor looking for trans stories – as Channel 4 has just commissioned a 4 part series about teens transitioning… other than that they'd love to hear from anyone with a story to tell.

Factory Films work for BBC Bitesize, CBBC, Channel 4 and BBC 3 creating factual content that’s moving and well-made. They are creative, collaborative and curious producers – and have a particular passion for making films with young people.
