A restaurant booking app has launched that gives money to charity each time a booking is made.

ChariTable Bookings allows customers to book tables at thousands of participating restaurants across the UK, which include London’s The Ivy, and The Wolseley, Through ChariTable, the restaurants will donate £1 for every diner in the party to a charity chosen by the customer when booking, at no cost to the customer themselves. Customers can choose from a growing list of over 3,000 UK registered charities, including Best Beginnings, Fight for Sight, and CALM.

Free to download, the app offers loyalty points for each attended booking, which users can convert into restaurant vouchers or donate to charity. The app also lets users keep track of how much they have raised for charity overall. Users can also message the app with the names of charities and restaurants they would like to see added.

ChariTable Bookings allows the customer to call directly and make a booking rather than having to book online. It also has a ‘near me’ option that lets users see restaurants local to themselves and to check their sustainability credentials, a guide price, type of cuisine, address, photographs and description of the restaurant, as well as a map showing the restaurant location.

Charities can register to participate in ChariTable Bookings at http://charitablebookings.org/charity.
