Recently Croydon had the positive news that our economy was named the fastest growing. But too many still face real difficulties to enter a good job in our borough, earning low wages in insecure conditions. The result? A quality of life that is far too low for our children and our families.
In 2016 Croydon Council started to build #GoodEmployer, a network that's doing business responsibly, enabling both our employers and our employees to benefit as our economy grows. This work will support the success of our local economy through using local supply chains, creating job opportunities, ensuring employees are paid a fair wage and promoting equality and diversity.
Through these efforts the lives of Croydon’s citizens are changing and shaping the identity of our borough, making it a place that thrives for its people.
So, do come and contribute to this vital effort and learn how you and your organisation can get involved to ensure everyone is benefiting.
