The ‘London Voices’ competition is for anyone who has an interest in citizen journalism, who is over 16 and lives, works or studies in London. No previous experience required - it's all about encouraging new talent and getting Londoners to have a go!

There are great cash prizes (
£2000, £750 and £250) plus a range of free training and skills support.
Entries can be in written form, video, radio, blog, or photo journalism. There are four broad themes: local communities; being young in the city; the London of the future; and the impact of social media.
Short-listed participants will also have their work showcased on the London Voices and Media Society websites as well as being invited to a presentation at the prestigious Media Society Summer Drinks Party in June.
Details of the competition can be found at or on Twitter @LondonVoices16.
