The campaign has launched in the capital to help Londoners make a positive difference to their health, pockets and the planet by getting savvier with their food. The campaign is all about eating more healthily and sustainably, reducing the food we waste at home and recycling what we don’t eat.
The Small Change, Big Difference campaign will see nine boroughs across the capital hosting events, workshops, food waste dinners and a wide variety of food-related fun to help Londoners eat better, waste less and recycle what can’t be eaten. The focus is on showcasing how small changes can have a big impact on Londoners’ health and bank balance, while making our city a more sustainable place to live.
As part of the campaign FREE workshops are offered for community groups in Croydon. The workshops are inspiring, interactive and give a whole host of practical tips and ideas. Previous participants have found the workshops valuable in helping them to save money, make their food go further and pick up healthy recipe ideas.
The format of the workshops are as follows:
- Workshop 1 - Introduce and Inspire
- Workshop 2 - Buy what you need eat what you buy
- Workshop 3 - Good for you good for the planet
- Workshop 4 - Food Recycling? Make it your norm
