The Young Mayor's fund is open to young people aged 8-18 and who live, work or go to school in Croydon and have a great idea that they think could benefit groups of young people in Croydon. Through an application and pitching process, the fund is keen to support initiatives by awarding up to £1,000 of funding for project ideas that have the support of community organisations meet the priorities of youth congress. The Young Mayor and Deputy Young Mayor are particularly interested in ideas which enable young people to feel safe in Croydon and that provide opportunities for growth and development.

There are 4 simple steps to take to apply:

  1. Think of a great idea share it with friends groups you attend and adult organisations that support you to see if they think it could work. This will give your idea credibility give you confidence to apply
  2. Work out what your project needs and how you would spend up to £1,000
  3. Complete check and return your completed funding application form to youngmayor@croydon.gov.uk by no later than midnight on Sunday 5 Augst 2018
