Croydon Works and Palace for Life Foundation are offering those aged 18+ an opportunity to gain a City and Guilds NVQ Level 1: Railway Engineering Operative Knowledge Certificate.

This is a 6 week programme taking place from 4 June - 13 July 2018,  9.00am - 4.30pm.  It is ideal for those wanting to work on Network Rail or Rail track as participants will be put through their paces to obtain the qualification.

Weeks 1-4 @Selhurst Park Stadium 
Week 1 focuses on preparation for work, setting goals and job searching skills. 
Weeks 2 – 4 focuses on completing the NVQ 2 in Railway Engineering Operative Knowledge

Week 5 @Romford
Medical and practical

Week 6 @ Walthamstow
 Final Assessments

Criteria that must be met in order for young person to apply:

  • All participants need to be between the ages of 18 – 25yrs, and must be able to attend the initial assessment on Thursday 31st May 2018, 9.30am or 12pm.
  • All candidates must have a Passport or Full Driving Licence/Provisional
  • Must have a Full British birth certificate.
  • All candidates must be in receipt of JSA/UC or ESA before they start the course.
