Last October the council asked for contributions in the development of a borough-wide plan for children, young people & families. Since then they have hosted a series of workshops and engagement sessions to develop what the partnership plan might look like.
Following your responses to the initial survey, a strategic priority mapping exercise was undertaken to understand the synergies for delivery, that led to the identification of seven key themes.
These times were tested with around 200 children and young people across 16 of schools and provisions in the borough, to see what is working well, what isn't, and what future priorities should be. The feedback has been mixed, but the general consensus is that they are focussed in the right areas, however could be doing more.
Based on conversations a draft plan has been created that speaks for a collective ambition, and aligns the strategic priorities for our children and young people.
With this in mind, they would really value your feedback on this high level plan, which is now available for comment and open to public consultation. Please click here to access the consultation.
The consultation ends 4 March 2020.
