The Home Secretary Priti Patel has announced a new fund to support victims of terrorism.
Organisations will be able to bid for up to £500,000 to provide advice and support to individuals and their families affected by a terrorist incident. Support will include counselling and practical advice on finances and media intrusion.
Eligible organisations must be able to provide specialist advice and support to individuals across England and Wales, based on professional judgement and an understanding of the unique needs of victims of terrorism.
This new grant scheme will also offer additional funding to those charities and organisations that offer ongoing support to UK residents affected by terrorism at home or abroad to help support this important work.
The fund will be launched in April.
