Lots of events - poetry, dance, history, and more - are taking place to celebrate the above.  This year's theme is 'Learning from our past to create an equal future'.

From Paulette Lews, Chair Croydon BME Forum, “It is important that we reflect on our past achievements and use the experiences and challenges to create a better world. The contribution of the BAME workforce is visible in all areas of society, from Health, Social Care, Education and Voluntary Services. The positive legacy of the Windrush Generation and all who have contributed to the development of the community must be celebrated for their determination and hard work.”
