COP (Croydon One Postcode) supports young people in taking the lead in challenging youth violence and developing a platform from which to improve relationships between young people and the Metropolitan Police Service.
In the next phase, we are bringing diverse groups of young people, aged 16-25, together to discuss and share ideas about their realities as we all emerge from the pandemic.
Discussion topics might include the continued role of Black Lives Matter, the recent murder of Sarah Everard, crime and policing and how we rebuild safe local communities.
Young people who join this project will work with a production team, commissioned by CVA, to make their own documentary film. Roles are available for presenters, photographers, film makers, video editors and journalists. No previous experience is required and there will be opportunities to receive digital skills training and AQA accreditations in film making. Team members will be paid the London Living Wage, £10.85/hour. If you would like to join our team please contact: email@example.com.
The project starts on April 19th 2021 and will conclude on July 31st 2021
