Working within an integrated Best Start programme comprising Croydon Council Early Help, health practitioners, children's centres, early years providers and voluntary, community and faith organisations, providers will deliver an innovative range of services that enable mothers, fathers and other carers to become more confident and resilient, to establish mutually supportive social networks and to progress along a pathway to employment. This will be done through a number of commissioned services based on the following areas:

Lot 1: Community Networking and Co-Design

Lot 2: Peer to Peer Support and Self-Reliance
          (about developing parent champions and fostering self-help)

Lot 3: Pathways to Employment
          (about supporting parents with children under 5 to overcome barriers to employment)

This opportunity is now live on with an expressions of interest by 19 February 2016 for bids. The contract will start in July 2016 and will be operational until 31st March 2018 subject to the Council's discretion, based on the awarded supplier's performance and the Council's available budget. The total value for this service is £369,000.00 per annum (for 2 years).
