Go ON, the UK the digital skills charity chaired by Martha Lane Fox, is working in Croydon to test, learn and share new ways to help residents and businesses get the skills they need to survive in an increasingly digital world.
Recent research by Go ON partner Lloyds has identified that 85,000 Croydon residents lack Basic Digital Skills and the programme will work with partners including Croydon Council and the private and voluntary & community sectors, to set up Digital Zones and recruit Digital Champions.
The launch on November 16 brought together the key partners and showcased how Lloyds has already been supporting a number of Croydon charities, including Good Food Matters, utilise digital to be more effective.
