The planning group of the Mental Health Forum, which is a network where mental health service users, carers, people from the voluntary sector and interested members of the general public come together to share their passion for mental health, put together a successful networking event this March. The suggestion arose from last year’s meetings. Over 17 community providers had stalls on the day, representing the variety of initiatives that exists in the Borough, from local community projects to voluntary organisations' services, with over 70 people in attendance.

The morning compromised of networking, excellent speakers Barbara Davison from Hear us and Macius Kurowski from SLAM and a Mask making activity, focusing on who we want to be.
The evaluation board prompted very positive feedback as the event was rated good to excellent.
The event was well received by both service providers and service users who attended:

"Do you plan to hold this type of event again? - it was great”. (Service user)
"A wonderful opportunity to network with likeminded people who operate I the borough" (Service provider)
