STEPPING UP - STEPPING OUT VOLUNTEERS

Volunteer Befriender Purpose: As we come out of lockdown your role will be to provide emotional support for those who are feeling isolated by providing face-to-face support, meeting in a public space and/or support to access activities and services. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals you are supporting by meeting with your befriendee on a regular basis and supporting them to access local services.

CVA TELEPHONE BEFRIENDER PLUS

The main aim of the Telephone Befriending PLUS service is to provide support to clients using the service through a weekly telephone call. Within this role, you can help reduce the feeling of isolation. Telephone befrienders usually call the same person each week at the same time, to provide a listening ear, links to other services, and monitor general well-being.  You can download some posters by clicking on the links below.

Calling all Communities!                We need Your help!                   About the Project

It is funded by Comic Relief and enables those with English as a second language to find befrienders as well.

We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you speak any additional languages
