Setting Up Setting Out (Kingston Voluntary Action)

Do you have a brilliant idea but need help to turn it into a great charitable project? If so, this workshop is for you.

This interactive online session will cover legal structures, leadership risks, case for support, and how to develop budgets.

This course is suitable for anyone who is setting up a community group, charity or social enterprise based in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Croydon or Kingston. Attend as:

  • an individual
  • with your co-leaders
  • as a new group
  • someone who wants a refresher on charitable trends.

This course will help you to:

  • Develop your project ideas into a draft case for support
  • Recognise different kinds of organisational forms and legal statuses
  • Identify the steps / support needed to build your idea
  • Plan ahead to counteract common leadership risks.

After the workshop, eligible attendees from Kingston upon Thames will have the opportunity to receive some one-to-one support after the session to help them further develop their ideas.

Additional information:

Richmond upon Thames/Kingston/Croydon resident – this session costs £10 plus the Eventbrite booking fee. This is a heavily subsidised rate for people who live in any of these three boroughs who want to develop a project that will support local residents.
