Our Best Start ABCD community builders have been encouraging local businesses in South and Upper Norwood to be family friendly and host some of the community groups that are emerging!
Richard from the Mimosa cafe, a new cafe in South Norwood, sees it becoming a community asset and wants to encourage community groups (and mums ) to use it- especially during the day time. He has arranged for some storytelling for young children at Halloween. Tracey, Essence of Cake, is also going to offer a family activity for Hallowen. Chave De Douro cafe (Victor) agreed to spread the word amongst their Portuguese cafe users and families re: a small community garden near their cafe, outside the local dental practice. The cafe' is a Portoguese community 'hub'. Natasha, the manager of the little Jannah Nursery over the road to All Saints & St Margaret's Church is also keen to be involved as she wishes to start up a Forest School!
