Ben, a Selhurst resident, would like to create a sensible garden in the area, after being inspired by the example of Crystal Palace Transition Town and how a piece of ground between the railway truck and the high street was transformed in a community garden. Ben attended the Health Champions course at CVA (has completed a portfolio for 9 credits towards a Level 2 OCN accreditation in Community Development Work) and has located a spot for the garden but needs to find out how to obtain approval from the Council! 

He is setting up "Selhurst go Green" and will use the HC small bursary for publicity, purchase of plants and materials and volunteers' expenses. Our Best Start ABCD Builder put him in touch with various community groups, Network Rail, Manor Farm Nature reserve, FOHM. Friends of Whitehorse Park, Access Music Media, Unique Roots and CASSA.
