Local Community Partnerships – Croydon North East (CVA)

Wednesday 21 September 2022
10:00 to 12:30

Building on the strong foundations of previous Local Community Partnerships events in the Croydon North East locality (which Crystal Palace South, Upper Norwood, Thornton Heath & South Norwood communities), Sarah Burns, Head of Communities for Croydon voluntary Action(CVA) and Andrew Slegg, Community Led Support for Croydon, and the newly-elected Co-Chairs, Nicole Godetz and Magdalene Adenaike invite colleagues’ further involvement in shaping One Croydon's Local Community Partnership in this locality.

  • This locality-based event will be an opportunity to continue to:
  • Share knowledge about the many assets of the locality,
  • Make connections and strengthen partnership working,
  • Identify challenges and
  • Celebrate what’s working well

There will also, however, now be an increased focus on:

  • Developing detailed Community Action Plans to achieve outcomes identified by the Local Community Partnership,
  • Establishing smaller, task-related Action Groups that use local knowledge and expertise to achieve real change
  • Turning words into action that leads to safer, healthier and happier lives for local residents…

The strength and effectiveness of each Local Community Partnership is totally dependent on how inclusive and representative the group is. So, local active citizens, voluntary and community sector organisations, Council and Health workers are all strongly encouraged to attend.
