Domestic abuse has seen an increase over the last few years. This training offers practitioners the opportunity to be trained by specialists Domestic Abuse workers who are based within the Family Justice Centre (FJC)
Domestic Abuse Learning Objectives
- Understand the impact of Domestic Abuse.
- Understand and identify domestic abuse, Understand the impact of Covid 19 on Domestic Abuse
- Explain the processes to assess and manage risk
- Gain a greater understanding of Controlling and coercive behaviour including the cycle of control, Understanding Claire’s Law
- Sexual Violence and consent
- The FJC and its role in Croydon
- The importance of gathering Historical Information
This training is aimed at professionals and volunteers who regularly work with families and children, their parent/carers – or have a period of irregular but intense contact
