Domiciliary Care Leaders Community of Practice (St Christophers Hospice - HELP)

Thursday 16 February 2023
14:00 to 15:00

What does the community of practice look like?

We recognise the invaluable contribution of high-quality domiciliary care to enable people to live and die well at home. We also note, with sadness, the lack of investment in many leaders of this service to develop their skills, confidence and networks to support their efforts.

This community of practice, which will meet on three occasions initially, aims to amend this. Any staff involved in shaping or leading domiciliary care are invited to attend one or more sessions which will be led by a nurse consultant with extensive experience of domiciliary care in the community. She will work with other domciliary care leaders to identify and consider the issues that most trouble or excite them in their work and encourage new ways of working that support them achieve their ambitions.

All involved in domiciliary care are welcome to attend and to bring their stories of success and failure for supportive discussion.

Attendance is free for professionals in South East London as part of the Hospice Education and Learning Partnership (HELP)
