The Voice of the Child: Croydon DA Conference 2023 (Lioness Circle)

Friday 24 March 2023
10:00 to 14:00

With the high volumes of Violence Against Women and Girls in the Borough, and the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 recognising children as victims in their own right, Lioness Tamar has been using her book 'The Lioness Uncaged' to raise awareness of the impact on children and adult victims across Croydon's Libraries.
This DA Conference is a free community event and is the finale of the Voice of the Child campaign. The event will be chaired by Lioness Tamar from the Lioness Circle and Christabel Yeboah from Hersana. The Madam Civic Mayor of Croydon Alisa Flemming will open the event, followed by the authentic voice of a child victim; presentations from community organisations on the impact on the family, national recommendations by Safelives and Croydon's local strategy from Croydon Council & the MET
The audience will have the opportunity to Q&A the speakers in a panel discussion as well as engaging in a solution based workshop.
There will also be breaks with refreshments on sale.
If you're interested in booking a stall to showcase your service, please get in touch.

Domestic Abuse is everyone's business and so you're all invited to come along and share with anyone that maybe interested.

This free community event gives us all an opportunity to join the call for a safe, just and equal world for every female adult and child victims of domestic abuse.

The event is expected to be well attended so please reserve your seats to avoid any disappointment. Visit thelionesspride.org.
