Bereavement, grief and loss: supporting yourself and others (One Croydon Training)

Wednesday 03 December 2025
10:30 to 12:30

The experience of grief is different for everyone, and although grief occurs after death, there are also many other life events that involve loss and cause feelings of grief, affecting a person's physical and mental health. Grief and loss is hard at any time of year, but the holiday season can be particularly challenging.

This session will provide you with opportunities to reflect and consider tools and methods for supporting yourself and others through these challenges

Join St Christopher's Care for this interactive session and raise your awareness and knowledge about how to have sensitive conversations around grief and loss, how to support those we come in contact with. There will also be an opportunity to hear about what local support there is in the borough.

The One Croydon Training programme is for  Croydon's frontline workforce (statutory, health, and voluntary sector colleagues) but may be of particular interest to those supporting food banks, the elderly, refugees, the unemployed, or if you are a volunteer or befriender.
