Independent Age offers free training to share knowledge and upskill frontline staff who support older people in their communities.

This 45-minute online course (using Teams) aims to give frontline workers an introductory overview of ways to support older people this winter.

By the end of this session you should:  

• Have some recommendations on how to best support your service users/ even friends and family in your local community to keep warm, well and live better in winter, including financial support available.
• Know ways older people can stay warm in the winter months  
• Know ways older people to stay safe in the winter months
• Know ways older people to stay well in the winter months 
• Know about the different organisations you can signpost older people to in regards to keeping warm, well and safe
