Supporting children and parents of children who have been sexually abused - in a trauma informed way

This training supports professionals to safeguard children who have experienced sexual abuse, alongside offering appropriate care to their parents or carers. It explores key safeguarding language and current trends, the impact of abuse, and how to respond in trauma-informed ways. Participants will learn hear a brief overview of how to manage disclosures safely, recognise the effects of vicarious trauma, and build resilience while maintaining safe, supportive practice.
