The Social Switch Project: Online Harms Training (CSCP)
Thursday 25 September 2025
10:00 to 16:00
Who is the Online Harms Training for?
The Social Switch Project recognises the need to support professionals and parents/trusted adults in dealing with both harmful online behaviour and the real-life violence which can escalate as a result.
Our free Online Harms Training is offered both online and in-person to those closest to young people - professionals and parents/trusted adults.
What will the Online Harms Training cover?
The interactive training will cover a range of topics from over-usage to online grooming, sending nudes to sexting, inappropriate content to body image, online influencers to violence against women and girls. The training will equip you with the skills to:

- Discuss the safeguarding risks associated with social media and how to appropriately respond.
- Support you to assess your own social media practices in relation to young people.
- Improve your understanding of the steps you can take to build resilience in young people dealing with potentially harmful content.
