Canva designs for your organisation: beginners(Superhighways)
Thursday 25 September 2025
09:30 to 11:00
Canva is a free online tool that you can use for a range of designs such as posters, logos, flyers, social media posts and presentations.
This short, practical training for beginners will help you learn the basics of creating and editing designs using Canva. You’ll explore templates, colours, fonts, icons, frames, text styles and more. You’ll also learn how to download and share your designs with others.
There will be mini tasks set during the course so you gain confidence in using Canva in your everyday work.
This session forms part of our Digital Foundations programme, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
Pre-course requirement
You will need to set up a Canva account if your organisation does not already have one. Although you can use Canva on a phone or tablet to create designs, we will be focused on using Canva in a browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox.
Am I eligible for this course?
Priority is given to people working or volunteering for refugee community and equality organisations. This course is for complete beginners. It is not suitable for people who have been using Canva for some time.
