Join ClearCommunityWeb and the MET Cyber Protect team for an afternoon to help you be safer online yourself to support the groups or people you work with.

Understand the principles and best practice to ensure you are working with people safely, find out what to do in critical situations and be aware of how and when to report.

We will use real life scenarios and practical activities.

This training perfect for frontline staffvolunteersVCS groups and community members.

You will get practical advice on a range of subjects including:

 

  • Phishing:How to recognize and avoid phishing scams that can lead to compromised accounts and personal information.
  • Social Engineering:Understanding how criminals manipulate people into giving up information or access.
  • Ransomware:Learning how ransomware works and how to protect against it.
  • Password Security:Best practices for creating strong passwords and using multi-factor authentication.
  • Secure Connections:How to use secure connections and protect your home network.
  • Supporting Others: How to help people you are working with to be more resilient or to provide critical inteventions if they have been the victim of a cyber crime or fraud. Learn how to creatae a Recovery Plan.
  • Reporting and Community Support: Learn how to report an incident and understand the community support available
