Domestic Abuse Protection Orders (DAPO) awareness session (Croydon VAWG Education Safeguarding)
Wednesday 03 December 2025
12:00 to 13:00
This session is part of Croydon Council's 16 days of activism Workshops
This training session provides an essential introduction to Domestic Abuse Protection Orders (DAPOs), designed for non-legal professionals working with survivors of domestic abuse. It covers the legal framework, conditions, and practical application of DAPOs, including how they can be used to protect victims from physical, emotional, economic, and coercive abuse.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of the differences between DAPOs and other protective orders, the process for applying and enforcing orders, and the criminal consequences of breaches.
