• Examine individual, peer, school, community, and cultural risk factors
• Understand the impact of serious youth violence on physical health and social, cognitive, and emotional wellbeing on young people, their peers, and the wider community
• Examine some of the serious risks to mental wellbeing associated with gang activity for young people, and implications for safeguarding
• Explore the cycle of trauma, victimisation, and violence in families, and how to break the intergenerational patterns of trauma and violence in communities
