Explore the wider systemic impact of racism on experiences of Black and global majority children and families beyond cultural bias.
Learning objectives
- Understand the concept of racial discrimination and the wider organisational, institutional, cultural, and personal perspectives of racial discrimination and anti-racist practice
- Be able to identify how racism can manifest in safeguarding responses, including adultification bias
- Identify strategies and action plans for improving anti-racist and anti-discriminatory practice
- Understand the barriers and how to improve safeguarding children and vulnerable families
