Your Data, Your Impact
Demystifying Data Management for Small and Medium-Sized Charities
Join Anna and Ngozi for a practical Lunch & Learn designed to empower small and medium-sized charities with the knowledge and confidence to manage their data effectively. During the session, they will explore the essentials of data management, governance and safeguarding, tailored to the realities of limited resources, time and technical expertise.
Event Overview
The session begins with the ‘Why’, explaining the value and benefits of strong data practices, and then moves on to demystify four key areas:
  • Data Management: What it is and how to keep your data clean, useful and accessible
  • Data Governance: Who is responsible and why clear rules matter for consistency and accountability
  • Data Safeguarding: How to build a culture of care and apply practical steps to keep data safe
  • Data for Impact: How to capture the right data for your organisation
By the end of the session, attendees will be able to:
  • Understand what data management is and why it matters
  • Recognise common data challenges and identify simple, immediate steps to improve governance
  • Appreciate the importance of safeguarding data, starting with mindset and culture
  • Explore practical, accessible ways to protect data without needing deep technical expertise
  • Understand when and how to capture meaningful data to surface needs, inform decisions and strengthen the case for future funding
  • Leave with a clear, actionable checklist to support their data journey
There will be time for questions at the end.
Good data practices are not a burden, they are a strategic advantage. When done right, they build public trust, improve operational efficiency and amplify your charity’s impact. This session can help, sign up below.
