To ensure professionals from a range of agencies have a shared understanding about the complexity of neglect. To explore multi-agency working in identifying and intervening at an early stage with children and young people vulnerable to neglect in the community.

Learning objectives

• Understand why neglect is so complex
• Gain knowledge about different types of neglect including affluent neglect
• Explore the range of tools available for working with parents and caregivers to improve parenting capacity in regards to ‘holding their children in mind’
