This 45 minute, online course (via Teams) aims to give frontline workers an introductory overview of Carers Allowance.
This course is aimed at non welfare benefit advice roles.
By the end of the session, you should be able to:
- Understand who may be eligible for Carers Allowance
- Understand how and when to apply for Carers Allowance
- Know when someone may receive Underlying Entitlement to Carers Allowance
- How Carers Allowance can impact other benefits (positively and negatively)
- Know when to signpost for specialist advice
- Have some strategies for starting the conversation about claiming benefits with people that you work with
