Learning objectives
- Explore the concept of adultification bias
- Understand the risks to Black children and young people
- Explore and recognise how adultification manifests in our practice and the impact on contextual safeguarding of children and young people
- Understand the broad concepts of intersectionality and adultification
- Examine the implications for practice - improving professional curiosity and cultural competence
- Identify barriers and strategies for change to improve the safeguarding of Black and global majority children and young people
