The local context on Serious Youth Violence and groups, the support and interventions on offer
Wednesday 14 October 2026
10:30 to 12:30
This session will break down our local context—moving past the headlines to the support and interventions on offer in Croydon
Croydon Council Youth Justice Service will be delivering alongside voluntary groups working with young people their understanding of the gangs in a local context.
The session will highlight the range of support services, interventions, and partnership approaches available across Croydon, with a particular focus on the valuable contribution of voluntary and community groups.
By the end of the session, participants will have a clearer understanding of the local landscape, available referral pathways, and how community organisations can work together to support young people and help reduce serious youth violence.
One Croydon Training Programme
Our training opportunities are especially designed for Croydon's frontline workforce; those working within the statutory health, social care and voluntary sector (employment support, foodbanks, community hubs, faith groups, volunteers and befrienders). The aim of these FREE online sessions is to empower you with new skills, expand their knowledge and confidence in a variety of topics, so that you can better support those they work with.
Booking information will be available soon. Save the date!
