Invitation to Professionals Supporting Vulnerable People
Tuesday 04 August 2026
11:00 to 15:15
This invitation is for professionals who work with vulnerable people, including social workers, GPs, nurses, care coordinators, social prescribers, care home and home care staff, counsellors and community and voluntary sector leaders.
🧠 Brain health affects us all. Together, we can build stronger support for carers, families and communities.
Floating Counselling Community and Dignitate Charity are delighted to invite residents, health, social care and voluntary sector professionals from across the UK to join us for The Woman Behind the Care, an intergenerational, unique event dedicated to brain health, dementia awareness, carers' wellbeing and community collaboration.
This event isn't just for Croydon residents or professionals. We are welcoming our partners, colleagues and organisations from across the country because supporting brain health is everyone's responsibility, from young to elderly.
Whether you're a Social Worker, GP, Occupational Therapist, Community Nurse, Care Coordinator, Social Prescriber, Care Home Manager, Home Care Provider, Counsellor, Community Leader or work within the voluntary sector, we would love you to join us.
Why attend?
✅ Expand your knowledge of brain health, depression, dementia, Alzheimer's disease and the realities of caring.
✅ Meet organisations providing practical support for individuals and families.
✅ Build professional relationships and strengthen your referral network.
✅ Discover resources that can benefit you and the people you support every day.
✅ Bring your clients, carers and their family members, including children, who are warmly welcome as caring often spans generations.
For Every Professional Supporting Vulnerable People: You're Invited 🧠
This is more than an event, it's an opportunity to connect health, social care and community organisations, ensuring no family feels they have to navigate dementia, memory concerns or caring responsibilities alone.
If you know someone caring for a loved one, working with families affected by dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's or other brain health conditions, please invite them. If you're a professional, come and learn, network, and help shape stronger pathways of support.
If your organisation would like to represent itself at the event with a stand, information table or resources, please email us back to let us know, we'd love to have you involved.
Everyone is welcome.
