Learning objectives

  • Examine the historical, institutional, and personal context of generational traumas
  • Explore the meaning of cultural stigmas and the impact of culture, ethnicity, and spirituality
  • Examine the impact of mental health difficulties on the lived experiences of Black and global majority children and families
  • Identify strategies to improve safeguarding and overcome stigmatising mental distress among Black and global majority communities
